Update: The Kippahs are Here!

One item that isn't on most wedding checklists is kippahs. And leaving this task to the end means you have less choices. Luckily our Rabbi asked us if we had kippahs, a kiddish cup, and more, in one of our first meetings.

We had four months to go when we ordered our kippahs. Personalization was free, so we added our names and our wedding date. Be aware that most online places require 6 to 8 weeks lead time.

Weinfeld Skullcap Manufacturing (http://yarmulkes.com/) had the best prices of three places we looked and the best quality. We did not want satin so we searched around for a suede leather option that was close to the price of satin. We ordered from Weinfeld out of New York before Memorial Day and got the kippahs the third week of July.

One thing to keep in mind when shopping is that some places include "free" clips. Run all of your costs before buying. We saved almost $50 by going with a vendor that charged for clips.

Our kippahs (and black clips) fit nicely in one of our vintage train cases. We added a silk scarf that matches our wedding colors to hide the bottom of the case (which is a little ratty). The place where the mirror used to be will be covered with a Please Take One sign.
