Choosing Accommodations for Out-of-Town Guests

The only guidance wedding sites gave as to the selection of accommodations was 1) consider guests' budgets and 2) chose a location with local flavor. So last week we met with Megas of Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants.

She took us through two of their properties where our out-of-town guests would potentially be staying. The properties we toured were the Prescott Hotel and the Hotel Triton. We arrived after work when both venues were having their wine reception. The Hotel Triton features wineries that employ organic or biodynamic and sustainable farming practices. If you're staying on the Club Level at the Prescott, during the reception hour you'll also be treated to pizzas from Postino and cheese and sourdough. We both could totally see the cousins kicking it at the Hotel Triton, and thought that parents, aunts, and uncles might prefer the Prescott Hotel.
