Out on the playa most forgo heels for chunky heels or platforms. I've got a pair of brown boots with chunky heels and black boots with a 2" platform. For our playa wedding, I'm probably going to wear my black boots. They're not in theme with Firefly, but they also don't cost any money.

BTW Check this out on Amazon- Demonia ZACK-300, 4 1/4 Inch Heel Men's Platform Knee Boot. It looks like the Demonia WAVE 302 you listed with a slight difference and half the price.
