This past weekend we were in New York. The weather forecast called for rain. Thinking about rain I started thinking about rain boots - those that make a fashion statement while being comfortable. Everybody with me know on the count of three. One. Two. Three.

Rain! Rain! Go Away!

We can talk about how cute photos of brides and grooms are in the rain. But admit it, most of us don't want to be that couple. My hair is naturally curly. Add water - even the slightest bit - and instant frizz.

So why am I blogging about rain when we didn't have rain? Because two of our close friends are getting married in less than 10 days and there's a chance of rain.

Things You Can't Control: Weather

We woke up this morning to wet roads. A longer glance out the window revealed a bride's worst nightmare - rain. So now the weather stalking begins.

There was only a 20% chance of rain forecasted for today yet it rained. As of right now according to Weather.com's 10-Day report, there's 0% chance of rain for our day. Looking back at the weather for the past 5 years - it's been humid but hasn't rained.

Now do I hedge our bets and get a purple umbrella and rain boots? If I ordered today, they'd be here in time for the wedding and for cute photos if it did indeed rain. But even if it didn't rain, they'd still be cute for our honeymoon as Napa averages 3.9 inches of rain in November.

So should I get the rain gear while I can?
