In addition to Google Analytics, another tool I've used for awhile is bit.ly. It's a URL shortener that provides data on where the URL was picked up and aggregates the data for the shortened URL you created with shortened URLs that others created.
Do you wonder who's reading your blog? What tools are you using to learn more about your readers?
Two tools that I started using for managing our online persona or found via analytics are:
- CoTweet for managing multiple Twitter accounts and scheduling Tweets
- SocialMention for understanding how people view your online persona/brand and its reach. They show Strength - the likelihood that your brand is being discussed in social media; Sentiment - the ratio of mentions that are generally positive to those that are generally negative; Passion - likelihood that individuals talk about your brand (small group of passionate advocates higher score); and Reach - a measure of the range of influence, the number of unique authors referencing your brand divided by total number of mentions.
- PostRank for measuring engagement exposed through SocialMention. Scores are "based on analysis of the '5 Cs' of engagement: creating, critiquing, chatting, collecting, and clicking."
